GENLED Acolyte

The future keeps getting brighter for GENLED Brands. Continued growth has led the company to relocate its European headquarters to a new facility in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The parent company for international LED manufacturers Acolyte (architectural lighting) and AgiLight (signage lighting), GENLED Brands established a European headquarters in nearby Breukelen, The Netherlands, in 2021. Rising demand and the companies’ escalating production in Europe have driven the need for increased staff, equipment and stock storage as GENLED Brands has quickly outgrown its current location.

The new Amsterdam facility includes 2,000 sq m for offices for the full European sales and accounting teams, a development and testing section for the engineering team, and more operations space for production, assembly, storage and shipping. The company has detailed plans to expand into another 3,500 sq m soon afterwards.

GENLED Brands will create new clean rooms for SMT circuit board machines, polyurethane treatment systems and LED encapsulation and end cap machines that allow for quick custom cuts on silicone products like LED neon and IP68 RibbonLyte. The company will also incorporate a new photometrics room for IES testing with state-of-the-art Viso Systems light measurement tools.

“After years two years of preparation, GENLED Brands is consolidating its signage equipment and purchasing new machines to support our architectural division,” said Scott Vontobel, CEO & president of GENLED Brands, who relocated to The Netherlands to oversee this new chapter in the company’s history. “From staff to equipment and storage space, this relocation gives us the ability to serve our customers even better.

“We look forward to getting everything installed and ready to start accepting designers to tour our new European manufacturing facility in early 2025,” Vontobel added. “We’re excited to be able to offer more products and complete lines that will carry the MADE IN EUROPE logo — including power supplies — by mid-2025.”

Operations to continue through the move​

GENLED Brands has the keys and has taken over the space. The move will commence in early November and should be complete by the end of the 4th quarter. The company will continue operations throughout the transition, and the European staff will be fully accessible with support from GENLED Brands’ international team.

Introducing OptX RibbonLyte! Our new OptX RibbonLyte is a unique top bending grazer solution available in four Static White CCTs (2700K-4000K) with three distinct beam angle selections. Rated IP67 for interior or exterior use, 24V OptX RibbonLyte can be secured with symmetric or asymmetric mounting channels, mounting clips or even VHB tape.

OptX RibbonLyte is a 24V ribbon that can be securely mounted with VHB tape so it doesn’t require a channel fixture. Symmetric or asymmetric mounting channels are available for straight run applications if desired. And mounting clips can be used with bending applications.

This new grazing solution comes in four Static White CCTs (2700-4000K). OptX RibbonLyte features specially engineered optic lenses with the choice of symmetric 10° and 30° beam angles or an asymmetric 45° beam angle. Lumen outputs range from 510 lm/ft (1672.8 lm/m) to 600 lm/ft (1968 lm/m). And each fixture has a pitch of 14 LEDs/ft (46 LEDs/m) and a bending radius of 5.9 in. (150 mm).

Powered at 5.8 W/ft (19 W/m), all our OptX RibbonLyte is rated IP67 for outdoor use. Order it in 6 in. (152 mm) increments with a maximum run length of 32 ft (9.75 m).

Acolyte has introduced a versatile new wall grazing fixture that can be programmed to the pixel.

The Nano Flex grazer is a 24V dual-bending flexible silicone tube with a minimum side-bending diameter of 6 in. (150 mm) and a minimum top-bending diameter of 7 in. (180 mm). It offers an IP68 rating suitable for exterior use.

Nano Flex is available in RGBW powered at 7 W/ft (23W/m) or in five dimmable Static White CCTs (1800K-6500K) at 5.5 W/ft (18W/m).

These fixtures have a maximum length of 16 ft 4 in. (5 m) with LED optics spaced at just 1.65 in. (42 mm) or 7 LEDs/ft (24 LEDs/m) for an even distribution of light without gaps. Choose white or black tubing and custom cut your Nano Flex at 10 in. (250 mm) intervals.

The Nano Flex is part of Acolyte’s new suite of Pixel Products. Use C4 Extended, C4 Live or PxLNet Controllers with SPI controls to program the Nano Flex RGBW at 10 in. (250 mm) pixel lengths.

Choose from three beam angles to match your Nano Flex application: 15°x15°, 38°x38° and 60°x60°. Secure your grazers with simple mounting clips, mounting channel or flexible mounting channel.

Acolyte is excited to introduce a dynamic suite of pixel controls and related lighting fixtures that provide amazing scale with easy programming down to single LED pixels.

The controls feature SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) technology, a synchronized communication protocol used to rapidly transmit information from control systems to “peripherals” -- related products such as LED fixtures. Like DMX systems, SPI features “universes” made up of 512 channels with specific addresses. SPI controls can communicate at 60 frames per second – up to 800 times faster than DMX.

This allows simple programming and incredibly precise execution in diverse architectural lighting applications that range from exterior nodes to wall washers and grazers or from custom Pixel RibbonLyte fixtures to interior backlighting with revolutionary color changing presentations.

Controllers

Central to this system are three new control modules: the C4 Live, C4 Extended and PxLNet Controllers with built-in triggers for automated applications over long distances. Varied in size to fit custom installations, these controllers scale well to large jobs, providing a user-friendly programming experience with full functionality on any device (smart phone, tablet or computer). They allow you to control individual pixels in complex lighting projects. Compatible with SPI, DMX, 0-10V, Art-Net and WiFi, these systems offer a simple menu and wireless configuration to support 63 SPI protocols. Program with 8 bit or 16 bit dimming. Quickly create seamless loops, color scrolls and fade effects or adjust brightness, saturation, speed and hue and easily assign scenes to distinct locations.

These controllers can be deployed with several amazing new Acolyte addressable pixel fixtures that span several lighting applications.

Nodes

The 48V TriNode and 24V HexaNode are versatile single-point source RGB or RGBW fixtures that can be used to create unique pixel displays or to highlight architectural details. TriNode modules feature three color changing LEDs while the more powerful HexaNode modules use six. Both nodes are part of Acolyte’s Armor Series of exterior lighting products. They offer a choice of flat or globe lenses. Each string allows custom module quantities and spacing starting at 3.94 in. (100 mm).

Grazers

Also part of the Armor Series, our Nano Pivot Fixtures are hinged grazers that provide flexibility in your lighting design. Create dramatic effects around cornices and curved facades, columns or landscaping. Each section of the Nano Pivot features 4 LEDs in a 5-in. (125 mm) pixel. There are 8 pixels in each 3.28 ft (1 m) chain. The Nano Pivot is available in two dimmable Static White CCTs (2700K, 4000K) with five beam angles. The Nano Pivot RGBW features color changing pixels (3000K, 4000K) in two beam angle options that can be individually programmed for distinct scenes.

Flexible BackLyte

The Flexible BackLyte Addressable Sheet lets you program individual pixels with SPI controls for precision effects in interior backlighting applications. Each incredibly thin 12.6 x 18.9 in. (320 x 480 mm) sheet includes 96 RGB pixels spaced at just 1.6 in. (40 mm). Trim, bend and daisy chain each Flexible BackLyte Addressable Sheet to create custom shapes. Cut around any obstacles!

Pixel Bar

The Pixel Bar is a color changing RGBW fixture designed for façade and bridge illumination and installations that require seamless light. The Pixel Bar features 1.97 in. (50 mm) addressable pixels. Choose square or rounded acrylic diffuser lenses for a diode-free application. Available in three set sizes up to 4 ft (1200 mm) long.

Pixel RibbonLyte

Pixel RibbonLyte creates custom patterns of light that can be programmed to a single LED. With spacing at 0.66 in. (16.66 mm), program each RGB LED pixel individually with SPI controls to create the most precise moving effects, patterns, chases and more throughout large light displays. Control 18 pixels per foot (60 pixels per meter) at 5.3 W/ft (17.5 W/m) in this IP20 Pixel RibbonLyte. Create custom Pixel RibbonLyte fixtures with our wide selection of channel extrusions.

Our traditional RGBW Addressable RibbonLyte also allows you to create completely customized patterns of light in 4 in. pixels that can be programmed for moving effects, patterns and chases in custom channel fixtures. This IP67 RibbonLyte provides superior color blending at 6 W/ft (19.7 W/m).
