The Company is located on the south coast of England in Poole, Dorset where all design and manufacturing takes place. AGI has a strong engineering capability and employs teams of highly qualified design engineers, technicians and draughtsman to create high technology products and systems to satisfy the requirements of customers globally.
Our core competences are in digital and analogue electronics, software, electro-optical, electro-mechanical (retransmission and motion control). We also have specialist knowledge in the design of low magnetic signature electronics to Stanag 2897 levels. In a world where cradle-to-grave support and turnkey system solutions are becoming the norm, AGI completes the process with a team of Customer Support engineers. This team provides the logistical support services necessary throughout the life of the equipment, such as installation, commissioning, training, documentation, complete spares, support, overhaul and repair services.

Since the 1960s our Metalite Aviation Lighting brand has specialised in the design and manufacture of portable airfield lighting systems. We offer a full range of portable equipment including runway and taxiway edge lights, approach lights, PAPIs and obstruction lights, in versions suitable for either civilian or military use.
Metalite portable airfield lighting systems are suitable to support strategic air operations from unconventional and unimproved surfaces. They are designed for quick deployment for both fixed and rotary wing operations and are robust enough for use at forward operating locations, on temporary and reserve airfields, to mark helicopter landing zones and where permanent airfield lighting systems have been damaged. They are compliant with all applicable NATO requirements.
Metalite lighting systems are in service with the US Marines, UK RAF and US Air Force, and in many countries around the world, including both NATO and non-NATO member countries.
Safety is an absolute requirement for civil airports, and AGI and Metalite products ensure both resilience and safety for airport operations. Metalite portable airfield lighting products are battery and generator powered and utilise state of the art LED light engine technology (versions based on powerful halogen lamps are also available).
The lights can provide visual and NVG-compatible outputs, and can be supplied as individual units supported by freestanding battery chargers or in road-going trailers with integral charging facilities. Metalite’s clients include international airports, multinational corporations, humanitarian and peacekeeping organisations and airborne law enforcement agencies.
