Belid Lighting Group is one of Northern Europe’s leading lighting manufacturers with a wide customer base including the home, projects and industrial lighting. We also manufacture lighting according to customers own brands. With over 50 years of experience, we are a strong and dependable partner to both physical and online stores in the retail trade as well as wholesale and contract markets.

Belid Lighting Group’s strong product portfolio speaks for itself with our own brands Belid and Herstal as well as beneficial collaborations with a number of external companies. These combinations give us a unique insight that allows us to meet our customers specific lighting needs both in the home and public environments. With our years of experience, dependable product knowledge, consideration for our customers and concern for the environment, Belid Lighting Group has a multitude of strengths to offer to both the private and public sectors.

With a well-integrated production process and access to our own factory and warehouse in Varberg, we are able to offer high quality Scandinavian designed lighting with the ability to adapt quickly to our client’s specific needs when required.

Belid Lighting Group was founded in 1969 and started its production with a focus on metalwork. Jan Eskil Eskilsson had a vision to develop and manufacture quality Swedish lighting and this vision became a successful venture which led to the now well know brand name BELID. Belid’s knowledge of working and producing products in metal has been in place from day one and to the present day can clearly be seen in the genuine craftmanship that goes into each and every product in our lighting range.

In recent years, the production and development of products has developed extensively into an increasingly advanced and modern product base. Today Belid can offer not only modern and timeless design, but a high degree of functionality, technology and innovation in all of our products and lighting solutions.

In 2008, the Danish brand Herstal joined Belid, bringing with them their renowned Danish lighting design and further strengthening the product portfolio available to consumers. In the summer of 2020, in keeping with the growth of the company over the years, and a number of strategic collaborations with other strong players in the lighting industry, the businesses were brought together under the unified name of Belid Lighting Group.

Belid Lighting Group currently employs approximately 165 dedicated employees and has been majority owned by Accent Equity Partners since 2018.

We have been manufacturing quality lighting in Varberg with great pride and passion since 1969 thanks to the winning combination of our Nordic heritage, product knowledge and genuine craftmanship. Our watchwords are quality and design, and they are just as important now in our daily operations, as they were when the company was started in 1969.

We manufacture lighting for the home, projects and industry in our factory in Tångaberg, Sweden. The business is organised into three areas: Home, Professional and OEM. These three areas all have their own dedicated teams of lighting experts with extensive product knowledge and experience in all aspects of lighting.

All three areas are supported by a range of departments working together. These departments include product development, purchasing, production, assembly and logistics to name a few. We are therefore a strong contender in the field of lighting with over 50 years of experience to depend upon.

We are extremely proud of the knowledge and experience we have gained over the years in the development and production of lighting products. Our core ambition is to continue to develop lamps of the highest quality for today’s market and it is, therefore, of the upmost importance to us that we continue to maintain and preserve the knowledge and experience that exists within the company as we move forward into the future. Equally important are our long-term aims, which are to continuously develop in terms of competence, innovation, sustainability and design.

We pride ourselves on meeting our customer’s specific lighting needs, both in the home and in contract environments. We are able to do this due to our extensive product knowledge and experience and we carry this out with a dedication to our customers’ needs and with consideration for the environment.

We are involved in the whole process from design and construction through to production and distribution, making us a reliable supplier and partner for our customers.
