Light Middle East is the number one networking and sourcing platform for the entire scope of decorative, architectural, outdoor, and indoor lighting solutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The event introduces the regional lighting industry’s sharpest minds and most distinguished names to manufacturers, architects, designers, engineers, construction companies, hospitality professionals and government officials from around the world. The three-day event features a spectacular array of exhibitors, an outstanding line-up of conference speakers, lighting design competition, and the Light Middle East Awards gala ceremony.
The event will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre with an expected 300+ exhibitors planning to showcase their latest products and solutions. The GCC LED markets will witness higher growth in the coming years due to mega projects planned in the region. The exhibition will attract over 6,000 interested buyers, dealers, distributors, retailers, wholesalers, importers, exporters, service provider, trade associations, government representatives, architects, design consultants, design engineers, electrical planners, interior designers, landscape architects, light planners, lighting designers, lighting retailers, mechanical & electrical engineers, MEP contractors and consultants from 84 countries, underscoring the massive appeal of the leading trade and networking event.
Digitalization of light in the region is a mega trend that will see a surge in adoption in the near future. Dubai’s outdoor lighting programme for demand side management (DSM) aims to retrofit 75% of lighting systems with LED fixtures across the country’s roads, streets, and parks, with an aim to achieve savings of up to 300 gigawatt hours (GWh) in energy consumption by 2030. Connected lighting indoor positioning systems are being used to enhance the shopping experience in supermarkets, and light as a service (LaaS) is being offered to reduce electricity consumption. These will become mainstream features across the GCC, which provides a unique opportunity for exhibitors of smart lighting & automation, integrated street lights, connected retail lighting, indoor location tracking, camera based lighting control, self-learning control systems, super capacitors, inductive power coupling, and DC power networks. In the Smart & Connected Lighting Forum IoT, street lighting and smart lighting manufacturers will run technical presentations and live demonstrations to engage target customers.
The Light Middle East events and showcase area not only offers a trading platform, but also a place where visitors and exhibitors alike can learn about the new trends in the region, be inspired and exchange ideas and discuss existing requirements and needs. Creativity, Innovation, craftsmanship and expertise in the design element of light is the vision of the Middle East’s design industry. Each year, the Light Middle East Awards showcases brilliance in lighting design and will once again bring well-deserved prestige and recognition to lighting designers across the region for their innovation and achievement. These awards recognize that lighting is one of the most important elements of design and celebrate the exceptional work reflected in projects, products and across the industry and region. Decorative lighting manufacturers and suppliers will have a dedicated space at the Light Middle East. They’ll present product design presentations and/or run workshops to engage target customers.
