Far UV Technologies, Inc. has been designing, developing, testing, and demonstrating innovative Far UV solutions for several years, including under contract with NASA to prevent foodborne illness in space flight, with awards from the US Army for medical applications and the US Air Force for SARS-CoV-2 remediation throughout their facilities, vehicles and aircraft. We have established relationships with the US Government and market-leading research, manufacturing, and commercial strategic partners, uniquely positioning us for rapid response.

We are thought leaders and influencers in the use of Far ultraviolet light disinfection. Our team is comprised of several passionate medical and biological research experts, electrical, mechanical, and optical engineers, and entrepreneurs with experience founding, leading, and growing companies from ideas through successful IPOs and acquisitions. We also have close relationships with a growing list of strategic component suppliers, manufacturers, and channel partners to expedite the broad commercialization of the opportunity.

Far UV products can be utilized in education, medical, elderly care, transportation, commercial, retail, and other applications to dramatically reduce or eliminate the incidence or spread of common colds and flu, hospital-acquired chemical or antibiotic-resistant microbes (MRSA), and more dangerous pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2. Our mission is to continuously maintain and improve the quality of life for people everywhere by reducing or eliminating the pathogens that lead to infectious disease.

Krypton Far UV (222 nm) light provides an effective, autonomous, and continuous disinfection system for occupied spaces. While the most common current alternative for sanitation in occupied spaces requires workers to wipe down chairs, counters, and any other surface between contact with each individual, it is not practical in practice, puts those workers at risk, and is subject to human error, like missing spots. Not to mention, wiping surfaces down does not address the airborne threat at all.

Krypton Far UV (222 nm) lamps are often advantageous over existing UV-C disinfection systems (typically operating at 254nm or 270nm) in occupied spaces as they can be utilized in the respiratory zone where the contamination event occurs, because they not only inactivate the DNA of the pathogens but also destroy the proteins that the pathogens are made up of and also because they provide a more permanent kill mechanism (whereas 254nm UV-C can often allow pathogens to be photoreactivated by UV-A or blue light, which is emitted by sunlight, fluorescent lights, and other light sources after a disinfection cycle).

Krypton Far UV (222 nm) light does not penetrate beyond the outermost nonliving layer of human and/or animal skin or eyes. While conventional UV-C lamps or LEDs (typically operating at 254nm or 270nm) commonly available today are much safer than sunlight, they can still penetrate to living cells and potentially be harmful to the skin and eyes with extended exposure. As a result, those UV-C systems are typically not utilized to sanitize occupied spaces. Krypton Far UV (222 nm), in contrast, can sanitize occupied spaces without those same risks.
