Every Fluence LED grow light is designed and built using a combination of handcraftsmanship and state-of-the-art robotics. We then put every single fixture through a rigorous burn-in phase and final visual inspection to guarantee flawless performance. We are dedicated to delivering energy efficient lighting solution for real-world applications. Every system is passively cooled equipped with the latest LED technology. Our unique thermal management systems includes no fans, no noise and no maintenance, keeping us and you one-step ahead of the competition.

All Fluence systems are built with the latest LED technology from the world’s top semiconductor manufacturers — including Osram, Samsung and LG. 2,000+ LEDs are built into every SPYDR with 80/120 full width half max (FWHM) pre-focused optics for precise spectral compositions and unrivaled performance, electrical efficiency and longevity compared to any other light source. Fluence has designed a unique thermal management system capable of dissipating more heat than previous generation products. Patent-pending thermal management is the result of our dedication to deliver the most energy-efficient lighting systems for real-world applications. Every Fluence system is passively cooled. From broad white to high red, Fluence PhysioSpec™ offers a variety of spectral solutions to meet the growers’ needs in optimizing the lighting strategies for any crop at any growth stage or geographic location.

Fluence was founded in Austin, Texas, in 2013 by forward-thinking entrepreneurs Nick Klase and Randy Johnson. They were the first to build custom-spectrum LED solutions and introduce white light that mimics sunlight to the horticulture industry, a stark departure from the inefficient lighting systems cultivators previously relied on. This created a watershed moment across the global horticulture industry. Fluence lights used less energy, lasted longer and ran cooler, enabling tiered setups that multiplied indoor grow spaces while achieving impressive savings in energy, HVAC and water costs.

In 2014, Fluence began designing systems that could lead to more sustainable forms of crop production. The result was a diverse product portfolio that allowed the world’s largest greenhouses and indoor farms to shift from wasteful legacy lighting to the quality, output and reduced footprint for which LED grow lights are now universally known.

In 2018, Fluence was acquired by Munich-based lighting manufacturer OSRAM. By combining Fluence’s proven leadership in LED-based horticulture lighting systems with OSRAM’s expertise in lighting technologies, sensors and connectivity, Fluence further empowered cultivators worldwide to adopt scalable and highly profitable cultivation models that tapped into Fluence’s industry-leading research, products and horticultural expertise.

2022 ushered in a new chapter of growth for Fluence and cultivators alike with Fluence’s acquisition by the world leader in lighting Signify. Operating as a business unit within Signify’s Digital Solutions division, Fluence is reaching new heights in sustainable horticulture innovation, enabling growers to achieve even more efficient and productive economies of scale.
