The ADJ team is preparing to hit the road this summer and fall bringing the latest ADJ lighting technology to a city near you. These free events will provide an opportunity for audio, video and lighting professionals to gather and network, check out the latest ADJ fixtures and learn about some of the technology behind them from a series of short but information-packed educational presentations.
Each stop on the ‘Step Into The Light’ road tour will be hosted at the facility of one of ADJ’s local partners in a different city around the USA. Open to all lighting professionals – including LDs, techs and production/rental company owners and managers – as well as students studying entertainment technology, these informal gatherings will be great for networking. They will also offer an opportunity to see firsthand ADJ’s latest fixture releases, including the Vizi Beam CMY, Focus Spot 7Z and Vizi Beam RX2 automated luminaires, the IP65-rated Hydro Hybrid, Jolt Panel FXIP and Jolt Bar FXIP, and the high resolution WMS2 LED video panel and Pixie Curve 60 90-degree curved LED pixel batten. Throughout each event there will also be a series of short educational presentations covering the following topics:
IP65: What and Why?
Following a quick explanation of exactly what IP65 means, this session will cover the advantages of choosing fixtures from ADJ’s IP65-rated range. These luminaires offer more rugged exterior housings that are ‘weatherproof’ and therefore ideal for exterior use and for production applications. They are also a great choice for permanent indoor installation as their sealed casings prevent the ingress of dust, which allows for a reduced maintenance schedule.
LED Video Panels: Setup & Control
LED panels provide a flexible and scalable solution for displaying video content but can be complex to configure. This session will provide a brief explanation of sending/receiving cards in processors and panels, as well as explaining the process of configuring your video wall with Nova LCT. It will also cover factoring pixel counts, limitations of processors and selecting the right processor for the job, as well as understanding redundancy with LED video.
The Importance of Quality of Light
Busting through the jargon, this session will explain CRI and TM30 as well as how they are used to measure a fixture’s ability to render colors accurately. We will also talk CCT (Correlated Color Temperature), Lumens and Lux, including an explanation of how to interpret these figures for different applications, and provide guidance on understanding a Photometric Chart.
Introducing Aria X2
Following a brief recap on the evolution of wireless DMX and fixture management offered by ADJ Group over the years, this session will introduce the new Aria X2 wireless management suite. It will explain mesh network technology, frequency agility, and the many benefits and practical applications offered by Aria X2, including wireless DMX with RDM, remote fixture configuration via BTA and OTA firmware updates. It will also explain how to integrate existing WiFly fixtures – as well as other wireless DMX systems – with Aria X2.
“We can’t wait to get out on the road and meet customers both old and new on the 2024 ‘Step Into The Light’ tour,” comments ADJ USA’s Director of Sales, Alfred Gonzales. “Our road tours are always a great opportunity for our team to spend quality time with customers and users, showcasing what the latest fixtures have to offer. However, we appreciate that attending a tour stop is an investment of time for attendees, especially those who have to drive a significant distance. Therefore, this year we’re dialing up the educational content to include a series of informative presentations which will enhance each tour stop, complementing the informal networking and fixture demos.”
In addition, ADJ's sister company, Avante Audio, will also be present, showcasing the incredibly compact yet impressively powerful Imperio Pro line array system, which will provide sound for the tour. Experience this mini line array system firsthand and be amazed by its remarkable performance.

Designed for the creation of piercing aerial effects, ADJ’s new Ultra Beam Bar 12CW is a compact linear entertainment lighting fixture that features 12 cool white LEDs. Each LED generates a narrow beam of bright white light and when all 12 are lit simultaneously the fixture creates a ‘curtain of light’ effect. The LEDs can also be controlled independently, allowing animated chase patterns running across one or more fixtures to be programmed.
The Ultra Beam Bar 12CW features 12 x 20-Watt 6200K (cool white) LEDs which each output a distinct beam of light with a concise 5° beam angle. Smooth dimming control allows each LED pixel to be controlled separately, either via DMX or utilizing the fixture’s 13 built-in chase programs. A ‘pixel flip’ mode is also included, which inverts chase patterns to run in the same direction regardless of the orientation of the unit.
A flexible fixture, the Ultra Beam Bar 12CW can be hung, vertically or horizontally, or placed directly on a stage or riser. To facilitate the latter, the unit is fitted with rubber feet, allowing it to shoot its beams vertically upwards. It also features magnetic end caps, which allow two or more units to be placed side-by-side and precisely aligned. The fixture’s pixel pitch is 85.5mm, which remains consistent when two fixtures are aligned using the magnetic system, allowing for a continuous run of pixels to be created using any number of units. The fixture is also supplied with a pair of variable-angle mounting brackets, which attach to the end caps with thumb screws and can stand directly on the floor, mount to a wall or ceiling, or attach to clamps for truss mounting.
Locking power and 5-pin DMX input sockets are located at one side of the fixture, while the corresponding output sockets are positioned at the other side, allowing for neat and concise cable runs. The power output socket allows up to 32 fixtures to be linked to a single outlet @ 230V (17 @ 120V). The unit also features a dedicated lens slot, which can be used to install a 40-degree frost filter (sold separately) to diffuse the output and create a homogenized wash output in place of the defined individual beams.
“Featuring powerful 20-Watt cool white LEDs, the Ultra Beam Bar 12CW creates intense beams that look incredible on a haze-filled stage or nightclub dancefloor,” comments ADJ USA’s Director of Sales, Alfred Gonzales. “With full pixel control, it offers huge creative potential to lighting designers, while its compact, lightweight and flexible design make it easy to integrate into any house rig or touring production.”
The Ultra Beam Bar 12CW is available now from ADJ USA and it is due to begin shipping from ADJ Europe next month (November 2024).

Expansion and Visualization Options
For those looking to expand their control setup, the WMX1 MK2 offers the optional WLINK feature. This allows two MK2 units to be connected, providing simultaneous access to all eight lighting groups without needing the Shift key. Alternatively, the units can be placed in different locations within a venue, such as one behind the bar and another in a DJ booth, allowing for versatile control options.
Another optional add-on is the Easy View 3D visualization software, which enables users to create a virtual representation of their lighting rig for remote programming. This software is compatible with both Mac and PC and connects to the WMX1 MK2 via USB, allowing users to visualize their lighting effects in real-time without needing the physical fixtures on hand.
Built for Performance
Despite its compact size and lightweight design (2.36lb / 1070g), the WMX1 is built to last, with a robust ABS plastic shell, a powder-coated steel base plate, and a reinforced back plate. Its powerful internal processing, featuring a 220MHz CPU with ARM core and 8MB RAM / 16MB flash memory, allows for complex effects to be layered and executed in real-time.
“The WMX1 revolutionized lighting design for performance-focused professionals,” says Alfred Gonzales, ADJ USA’s National Sales Manager. “With the WMX1 MK2, we’ve added practical upgrades while preserving the intuitive interface and powerful engine that allow for the creation of intricate light shows with hands-on control. Whether in a club, bar, or mobile entertainment setup, the WMX1 MK2 empowers users to unleash their creativity, using not only ADJ lights but over 15,000 fixture profiles.”
WMX1 MK2 is shipping now from ADJ USA and ADJ Mexico.
Introducing the new Stryker Max from Eliminator Lighting, a moving head fixture which maximizes creative potential. Compact yet powerful, it can be used to generate a vibrant color wash, piercing beam, or eye-catching visual effect. This versatility makes it ideal for both mobile event production and permanent installation in bars, clubs, and other entertainment venues as well as houses of worship, museums and themed attractions.
The latest addition to Eliminator’s Stryker Series of potent, feature-packed and affordable moving heads, the Stryker Max harnesses the power of six 40-Watt 4-in-1 quad color RGBW LEDs. The output from the LEDs is focused through a lens assembly which allows variable zoom between a narrow 4-degree beam and a wide 55-degree wash. In addition, the lens assembly offers bidirectional rotation, allowing the creation of kaleidoscopic multi-beam effects. Further adding to the creativity offered by the fixture, it also features an outer ring of 60 x 0.5-Watt RGB LEDs which generate ‘eye candy’ effects.
Precise 16-bit stepper motors deliver pan and tilt movement that is fast and precise. The main LEDs offer smooth dimming as well as variable speed strobing and can be used to output white light with a choice of CCT presets (ranging from 2800K to 8500K) as well as vibrant colors selected either via RGBW mixing, hue and saturation control, or preset macros. The outer ring of LEDs can be controlled together via RGB color mixing or used to display a variety of customizable animated chase patterns. The fixture itself is both robust and lightweight (16.5 lbs. / 7.5 kg.) as well as being both ETL and CE approved.
“The Stryker Series is already extremely popular with mobile entertainers and event professionals as well as installers working on a wide variety of integration projects, and the new Stryker Max takes it to a new level,” comments Albert Paredes, Product Manager for Eliminator Lighting. “It is a powerful wash-zoom moving head, with the added advantage of both a rotating lens assembly, which creates impressive aerial effects, and an RGB LED color ring, that can be used to add impressive ‘eye candy’. All this from a compact and lightweight fixture with a very attractive price tag!”
The Eliminator Lighting Stryker Max is available now from ADJ USA and is due to begin shipping from ADJ Europe from the end of September.
