Aleddra LED Lighting, ("Aleddra"), a lighting technology company headquartered in Seattle, Washington, is pleased to announce its PRO Series Emergency LED Tubes, the first UL924 certified self-testing/self-diagnostic emergency tubes.
Aleddra is the industry leader in the emergency lighting product segment with over 30 patents in emergency tube design and products for both the T8 and T5 style LED tubes. The NEW PRO Series Emergency Tubes push the technology to a whole new level. The PRO features a patented locking lamp holder that locks the EM tube into the fixture. The locking mechanism fastens the PRO EM tube to the fixture and prevents unauthorized removal of the EM tube. The locking mechanism can be unlocked with a standard electrician tool.
What sets Aleddra's PRO Series Emergency LED Tubes apart from other third-party products? It is the ONLY UL924-certified Self-Testing and Self-Diagnostic Emergency Tube in the market. When the PRO emergency tube is installed and energized, its internal clock starts. From that point, every 30 days it fully automatically performs the 30-second audit test and once a year the 90-minute audit test, all this without human intervention. During the testing, the indicator light will blink slowly. If the tube fails the required test, the LED indicator light will blink at a much faster rate. To meet NFPA Life Safety Code (National Fire Protection Association, NFPA-101) requirements, all the facilities managers need to do is to walk through the facilities and perform a visual inspection. If the indicator of a self-testing EM tube is blinking fast, then the EM tube needs to be replaced. If the indicator light is solid green, log in the record of the visual inspection as "completed and passed". For other third-party EM tubes, the facility manager will need to schedule the test, monthly and annually. When the test is scheduled, he/she will need to set up a ladder under the fixture, climb the ladder, open the fixture and press the test button and stay there to make sure the emergency tube completes the required test. A few third-party emergency tubes require the person to push the test button to end the test. What a waste of time and money.
Most facilities managers agree that any time anybody gets on a ladder there is potential liability. Only Aleddra's Self-Testing/Self-Diagnostic Emergency Tube eliminates this liability. This is the reason why Aleddra's Self-Testing/Self-Diagnostic Emergency Tube has become the #1 choice for facility managers. Now enhanced with the locking lamp holders and UL924 certification, Aleddra's PRO Series EM tube eliminates any safety concerns that facilities managers might have. Aleddra's PRO emergency tube are available in T8 (4-ft and 2-ft) and T5 (4-ft). For customers who are budget sensitive, Aleddra offer the PRO Series Basic EM tube that comes WITHOUT the Self-Testing/Self-Diagnostic features.
Aleddra is excited to present to you and your customers an innovative solution for ensuring that your emergency lighting systems are always in compliance. Aleddra's cutting edge Self-Testing Emergency LED T8/T5Tube Tubes not only provide reliable emergency lighting but also offer a unique patented Fully Automatic Self-Testing and Self-Diagnosis feature. This sets the Aleddra emergency tubes apart from other emergency tubes.
The National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code, also known as NFPA-101, specifies in Section 7.9.3 on the Testing and the Maintenance of self-testing/self-diagnosis emergency lighting equipment. It mandates that the self-testing/self-diagnosis emergency lighting equipment to perform the 30-second monthly and the 90-minute annual tests, as well as visual inspection and the recording of the visual inspection.
In accordance with the requirements outlined in the NFPA-101 Life Safety Code, Aleddra's Fully Automatic Self-Testing and Self-Diagnosis emergency tubes have been engineered to simplify the process of compliance monitoring and maintenance. Unlike conventional emergency tubes that require manual testing and inspection, our self-testing tubes automate the testing process, making it more efficient and less labor-intensive for facility managers.
Here's how it works: Each Aleddra's Fully Automatic Self-Testing and Self-Diagnosis emergency tube runs the (30) second monthly test and the (90) minute annual test without any human intervention. During the "testing cycle" the LED indicator on the end cap will flash slowly and no one has to be present. Third party emergency tubes require that "someone" manually triggers the test. For the visual inspection, all that is required is for an individual to walk around the facility and look to see if the LED indicator light is flashing rapidly. If the indicator light is solid green, the tube has passed the required test. If it is flashing rapidly, the emergency tube needs to be replaced. Note this in your audit records as "visual inspection passed."
This simple yet effective method of self-testing eliminates the need for complex testing procedures, reduces the risk of human error, and saves costly labor. With Aleddra self-testing emergency tubes, you can have peace of mind knowing that your emergency lighting systems are always ready to provide reliable illumination during critical situations.
