After the worldwide success of the RIVALE PROFILE and more than 10,000 units in use in less than a year, AYRTON is proud to present its brand new VELOCE PROFILE, the second ultra-equipped luminaire in the « ULTIMATE » family, specially designed for large spaces. The ULTIMATE range has broken the codes with its avant-garde design.
A family of perfectly homothetic luminaires that reinforces the sense of unity between the different models. Veloce Profile is a versatile luminaire capable of operating in all conditions, indoors and outdoors, including salty environments. The use of new, lighter aluminium parts has resulted in a significant reduction in weight, with the aim of achieving the best weight to power ratio on the market without the use of expensive or unstable special alloys. VELOCE PROFILE is the lightest luminaire in its category, weighing just 40.5 kg. For greater freedom of movement and design flexibility, Veloce Profile comes as standard with infinite continuous rotation on both pan & tilt axes. Veloce Profile pushes back the limits of integration with a brand new sealed monoblock 850 W high efficiency LED module, calibrated at 6500 K, which offers a luminous flux of 43,000 lumens with optimum positioning on the black body to achieve perfect light neutrality.
The proprietary 13-lens optical system offers a zoom ratio of 13:1 and a range of use from 4° to 52°. Veloce Profile features a 180 mm front lens, giving an ultra-intensive 4° beam. Veloce Profile, like all the luminaires in the « ULTIMATE » range, adopts a revolutionary new CMY colour mixing system with ultra-fast high-definition discs. This single-layer system provides a clear improvement in colour intensity during reproduction.
An ultra-fast, high-definition single-disc progressive CTO enables precise colour temperature adjustment from 2700 K to 6500 K, and a 7-position colour wheel with special filters completes the palette of tools dedicated to colour creation. For specific applications requiring perfect colour reproduction, Veloce Profile offers a subtle adjustment of the colour rendering index from 70 to 86. A new, ultra-precise framing module makes it possible to isolate any object thanks to the surgical positioning of each shutter blade over 100% of the surface with +/- 90° rotation. Optics
The Ayrton Veloce features a cutting-edge 13-element, 13:1 zoom high-resolution optic system. This sophisticated design provides a beam aperture that ranges from 4° to 52°, allowing for versatile lighting configurations. The fast motorized linear zoom enhances its adaptability, while tempered anti-reflective coated lenses ensure optimal clarity. With a robust 180 mm frontal lens, the Veloce is engineered for high performance across a variety of applications.
Light Source
At the heart of the Veloce Profile is a powerful 58,000 lumens white light engine, which can deliver a total luminaire output of up to 43,000 lumens in Stage Fan mode. The fixture maintains a consistent colour temperature output of 6500 K, with a colour rendering index (CRI) greater than 70, ensuring accurate and vibrant colour representation. The rated life of the light source can extend up to 40,000 hours, and the flicker-free source management is ideal for television and video-recorded events, enhancing its versatility.
Movement
The Veloce Profile is designed for extremely accurate positioning, with a moving-head mechanism that operates via either 8- or 16-bit resolution. High-resolution stepper motors, controlled by advanced microprocessors, ensure both extreme accuracy and smooth movement. The fixture features infinite pan and tilt rotation, along with automatic repositioning capabilities, making it suitable for dynamic lighting scenarios.
Colours
A sophisticated CMY colour mixing system allows for seamless transitions between colours, complemented by variable colour temperature correction (CTO) and a variable CRI improvement filter. Additionally, the Veloce Profile includes a fixed colour wheel with seven complementary colours, enhancing its adaptability for various lighting environments.
Gobos
The Veloce Profile is equipped with a 2-indexable rotating gobo wheel that features seven high-precision glass gobos, plus an open position. It supports adjustable-speed rotation in both directions, providing creative freedom in lighting design. The gobo specifications include a diameter of 30.0 mm, an image diameter of 19.0 mm, and a thickness of 1.1 mm.
Framing System
The framing system consists of four individually positionable shutter blades, allowing for precise control over the light beam across 100% of the surface area in all positions. The shutter blades can rotate +/- 90°, offering extensive framing possibilities.
Iris Diaphragm
The fast iris diaphragm of the Veloce Profile provides adjustable dynamic effects, with an iris range that extends from 15% to 100% open, allowing for enhanced control over light intensity.
Effects
The fixture includes a focusable graphic animation effect wheel, which offers continuous rotation in both directions. Additionally, it features two combinable rotating and indexable prisms—one 5-facet circular and one 4-facet linear—for added visual effects.
Dimmer / Strobe
An electronic dimmer enables precise light adjustment from 0 to 100% without any colour variation. The strobe effect can be adjusted for speed from 1 to 25 flashes per second, allowing for impactful visual effects in various scenarios.
Software Features
The Veloce Profile supports local DMX addressing and optional parameter settings through its built-in LCD control panel. Remote DMX addressing is also available through a standard RDM DMX controller. An information menu provides access to essential data, including the hour counter, temperature, and software version.
Hardware Features
This fixture features a graphic LCD display for easy addressing and special function settings, supported by five menu buttons. Key hardware features include excess temperature protection and an integrated wireless CRMX TiMo RDM receiver from LumenRadio. The Veloce Profile utilizes IP65-rated connectors for DMX, ArtNet, and power connections, ensuring reliable operation in various environments.
Control
The Veloce Profile operates on the DMX 512 protocol, supporting both wired and wireless systems. It is DMX-RDM compatible and can function in stand-alone and Master/Slave modes. ArtNet and sACN protocols are accessible through Ethernet connections, while a local control panel with an IP65 LCD display provides user-friendly operation, utilizing a footprint of 67 DMX channels.
Cooling System
An advanced liquid cooling system ensures efficient heat management, complemented by IP68-rated self-adjusting variable speed fans for quiet operation in Auto mode. Users can select from various ventilation modes, including a Super Silent Mode, with safety protections in place against excess temperature.
Housing
Constructed with a moving-head skeleton made of aluminum and steel plates, the Veloce Profile features a base made from die-cast composite alloy and heatsinks crafted from aluminum and copper. Moulded covers are made from self-extinguishing fire retardant ABS PC (V0 class), ensuring safety and durability. The fixture includes four side handles for easy transportation and four heavy-duty feet for enhanced stability. With an IP65 protection rating, the exterior finish in black (Carbon) provides a sleek and professional appearance.
Power Supply
The electronic supply features active PFC, operating within a voltage range of 100 to 240 Volts at 50/60Hz, with a maximum power consumption of 1300 W.
