Chauvet has announced the acquisition of LiteGear, a leading manufacturer of film and broadcast LED systems. Together with Chauvet's Kino Flo brand, LiteGear will form the new Chauvet Cinema Group, based in Burbank, CA, and led by industry veteran Mike Wagner.

Established in 2006, LiteGear has earned a strong reputation for its innovative and reliable products, including the widely acclaimed LiteMat series, known for its lightweight and color-corrected lighting solutions tailored for film and television productions. Under Chauvet’s ownership, LiteGear will retain its brand identity, culture, and deep industry connections, while expanding its product offerings. Founders Mike Bauman and Al DeMayo will remain actively involved in product development, ensuring continued innovation by collaborating closely with the film community.

Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet, highlighted the strategic benefits of the acquisition, stating, “The integration of LiteGear with our Kino Flo brand strengthens our ability to serve the cinema lighting industry and grow our presence within it. By combining the expertise of these two renowned brands, we’re assembling an unparalleled team to address both current and future technological challenges in cinematic lighting.”

Mike Wagner, who has played a pivotal role in developing groundbreaking products, will lead the Chauvet Cinema Group. Sharing his vision for the venture, Wagner said, “Our mission is clear: we aim to redefine the cinematic lighting market. By uniting LiteGear and Kino Flo under Chauvet, we are set to deliver unmatched innovation and value to our customers.”
