ESYLUX is expanding the possibilities of its cross-room, sensor-supported DALI-2 light control system with a new switch actuator. Controlled by an ESYLUX APC presence detector, the actuator enables automatic switching of 230 V devices and other loads depending on presence, daylight, day of the week or time of day. This allows the energy consumption of HVAC systems, additional lighting and standby modes of office devices to be efficiently controlled. Standby switch-off for DALI-2 control gears and manual switching of devices are also available.
ESYLUX APC presence detectors with integrated DALI-2 control unit and bus voltage supply provide cross-room control of up to 16 light groups and can be expanded with BMS presence detectors and push buttons as input devices. In addition, an APC presence detector features a switching output for integrating 230 V devices into the system. A new DALI-2-certified switch actuator with floating contact reproduces this switching output from a functional perspective.
DALI-2 actuator for HVAC systems, additional lighting and office devices
Controlled by an APC presence detector, the actuator enables on-demand switching of HVAC systems, additional lighting and energy-efficient standby switch-off for office devices such as height-adjustable desks. Presence- or daylight-dependent automatic switching is performed depending on the end device and requirements. Furthermore, APC presence detectors from specification level APC20 enable switching depending on the day of the week and time of day as well as the use of actuators for standby switch-off of DALI control gears. If necessary, manual control of devices via push button is also possible.
The switch actuator works with zero-cross switching that protects the relay and is therefore suitable for switching additional LED lighting. The voltage is supplied by the DALI bus. The switch actuator is listed as an accessory for ESYLUX APC presence detectors and can be easily integrated into third-party control units due to the cross-manufacturer interoperability of DALI-2. The actuator can be installed in commercially available, flush-mounted switch boxes or surface-mounted junction boxes.
