Quectel’s FGS060N and FGS061N modules, powered by NXP chipsets, are part of Quectel’s high-performance Bluetooth and Wi-Fi solutions designed for modern IoT applications. Both modules support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, with the FGS060N also offering IEEE 802.15.4 support. Built on the IEEE 802.11ax standard, they deliver MCS 0–MCS 11 rates within an 80MHz bandwidth with 1024QAM, ensuring robust WLAN performance through a reliable SDIO 3.0 interface. Both modules are ideal for use in applications including IoT gateways, smart speakers, micro-mobility and electric charging applications among others.
Additionally, the latest module from Quectel’s range, the FCMA62N, powered by the NXP RW610 chipset, supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi protocols and BLE 5.3. With a built-in Arm® Cortex®-M33 core dedicated for customer applications, 1.2 MB SRAM, 8 MB flash, and support for advanced security standards including WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA3-SAE, and AES-128 encryption, the FCMA62N ensures robust connectivity and security.
Connecting via an RF coaxial connector or with an optional PCB antenna, there is a complete range of suitable antennas for the FCMA62N including the YFBP001WWC SMD embedded chip antenna, the YF0026AA FPC embedded antenna, the YEBT001W1AM terminal antenna and the YEBM001L1AH external Wi-Fi antenna. The FCMA62N is certified for use in Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and is also a qualified Bluetooth product by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group.

Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global IoT solutions provider, today announced the introduction of three additional short-range modules to its portfolio. The modules are the FC30R, a cost-effective, industrial-grade Wi-Fi module; the FCU743R, featuring Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth 5.2 capabilities; and the FCM740D, an MCU with Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth 5.2. These modules enable customers to bring IoT devices to market more cost-effectively and with faster time to market.

The FC30R is an ultra-compact, cost-effective industrial-grade Wi-Fi module that supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards. Measuring just 12.0 mm × 12.0 mm × 2.1 mm, it is perfect for size-sensitive applications. It can be seamlessly integrated with Quectel 5G modules (RT620T series), 4G modules (EG25 series, AG35 series, EG95 series, EC21 series, EC25 series, EC20 series, EC200A series, EC200R series, EC300R-LA series), and other application processors (NXP, ST, TI, Ambarella, etc.), making it suitable for a wide range of M2M applications including EV chargers, mobile hotspots, on-board diagnostics (OBD), gateways and industrial PDAs.
The FCU743R is a USB interface, high-performance Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth 5.2 module that supports the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands and can realize high-speed, low-power WLAN wireless transmission with a maximum data transmission rate of up to 150 Mbps. With an ultra-compact size of 13.0 mm × 12.2 mm × 2.0 mm, the module is ideal for size-sensitive applications.
Surface-mount technology (SMT) makes FCU743R an ideal solution for durable and rugged designs and the low profile and small size of LCC package ensure that it can be easily embedded into size-constrained applications and provide reliable connectivity with these applications
The FCM740D is an MCU Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth 5.2 module, that boasts a high-performance processor with a frequency of up to 120MHz and supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n protocol and BLE 5.2. The module features built-in 256 KB SRAM and 2 MB/4 MB flash (optional), complies with WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and WPA3-SAE security standards. The FCM740D has an LCC + DIP form factor with an ultra-compact size of 20.3 mm × 15.8 mm × 2.7 mm, which optimizes the size and cost for customers.
With a variety of low-power modes and long connection keep-alive mechanisms, the module is perfect for smart home, industrial IoT, consumer electronics and other applications, especially home appliances, small-sized smart lighting and other applications and IoT devices with high temperature requirements, such as HVAC, dimmer, light strips, smart sockets.
Finally, two MCU Bluetooth modules, the HCM511S and HCM010S, are now available in additional variants with stronger transmit power and additional antenna options. The HCM511S-E now features 8 dBm transmit power and an RF coaxial connector and external pin antenna interface, while the HCM010S-E now offers a pin antenna, RF coaxial connector and optional PCB antenna.
Quectel’s IoT modules are developed with security at the core. Matter stands as a pivotal standard in smart home communication, tackling the persistent challenges of compatibility and fragmentation within the sector by enabling direct communication between smart devices. This innovative module boasts support for IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ax protocol and BLE 5.2, paired with built-in 512KB SRAM and 4MB flash for optimal performance. Furthermore, it meets rigorous security standards, including secure boot and mbed TLS encryption, ensuring robust protection for connected devices.
The FLM263D offers support for device certifications such as Works with Alexa (WWA) and features such as Matter Simple Setup (MSS). MSS allows end-users to seamlessly connect Matter-compliant smart home devices to Alexa with zero-touch setup, while WWA instils consumer confidence when buying on Amazon.
FLM263D offers five GPIO interfaces that can alternatively function as PWM or I2C communication channels. Designed with an LCC form factor, built-in PCB antenna, measuring a mere 17.3mm × 15.0mm × 2.8mm, and with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, 3.0~3.6V power supply, the FLM263D is perfectly suited for smart lighting applications, especially smart bulbs.
Additional modules will be rolled out very soon to expand the scope of Quectel offerings to include smart switches, smart plugs, and other smart household applications.
The CC660D-LS is a 3GPP NTN (non-terrestrial network) satellite communication module which supports 3GPP Rel-17 (loT-NTN) at L-band (B255) and S-band (B256/23) frequencies for satellite communications. With an ultra-compact form factor of 17.7mm × 15.8mm × 2.0mm, it is a perfect choice for size sensitive applications.

Vancouver, 28 June 2023: Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global IoT solutions provider, has today unveiled its latest innovation in satellite communications, the CC660D-LS module, designed specifically to ensure comprehensive global coverage for seamless connectivity.
The CC660D-LS module offers versatile connectivity options, including L-band, S-band, and Band 23 connections. In addition, the module supports 3GPP Release 17 IoT non-terrestrial network (IoT-NTN) connections. With reliable connectivity a priority, the CC660D-LS module addresses this need by supporting two-way communication. It facilitates not only data transmission but also SMS SOS functionality, allowing emergency notifications when needed. Additionally, the module support IP and Non-IP service network, ensuring enhanced connectivity and service availability.
The module also boasts remarkably low power consumption through the implementation of various power-saving modes. These modes include discontinuous reception (DRX), extended DRX (eDRX), and power-saving mode (PSM), enabling efficient energy management. Measuring 17.7mm x 15.8mm x 2.0mm, the CC660D-LS features Quectel Enhanced AT Commands, supports SIM/eSIM and offers embedded Internet service protocols, enabling low latency satellite connectivity via UART communication interface.
