A22 Adjustable Area Lights: RAB’s Sustainable Outdoor Lighting with Selectable CCT and Wattage Options

We are pleased to announce the expansion of our A22 area lighting series, now featuring adjustable optics and a range of new models and accessories. Building on the foundation of our existing 150X model, the new and more robust 320X offers three selectable wattages and color temperatures, a twist-lock photocell, and three interchangeable lenses (Types III, IV, V). Additionally, it features an adjustable universal pole mount arm that is compatible with both round and square poles. The A22 series also introduces static 3000K models, equipped with a standard non-adjustable pole mount. Each of these models is certified by DarkSky and DLC LUNA, ensuring optimal performance and sustainability.

The A22 Field Adjustable Area Lights offer long-lasting performance with a lifespan of 100,000 hours. These versatile lights are wet-rated and come with 0-10V dimming capabilities, making them suitable for a wide range of outdoor lighting applications. The A22 series is available in three different sizes and six models, each with selectable wattages:
  • SMALL: A22-70 (70/60/50W) and A22-100 (100/80/60W)
  • MEDIUM: A22-150 & A22-150X (150/120/100W) and A22-200 (200/180/160W)
  • LARGE: A22-320 (320/280/250W)

Available in a wide range of models—everything from 50W to 320W—the A22 comes with interchangeable optics that give you the flexibility to change output in the field. IES Type II, III, IV, and V distributions are all available. When you need one fixture to do it all, the A22-150X and 320X deliver. In addition to boasting three selectable wattages and color temperatures, and a twistlock photocell, the X models include three interchangeable lenses (Types III, IV, V) and an adjustable universal pole mount.

All A22 models come standard with a NEMA 7-pin receptacle but can also be ordered with an integrated sensor to help qualify for additional utility rebates. Standard and Lightcloud twistlock photocells can also be purchased as accessories. A22 is available with Lightcloud Blue-enabled motion sensing (microwave or passive infrared) which can be configured to adjust brightness and hold time, saving additional energy costs.

These area lights also feature selectable color temperatures (CCT) with options of 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K. They are available in both 120-277V and 480V configurations, providing flexibility for various electrical requirements. The A22 family is available in static 3000K models that come standard with a non-adjustable pole mount to limit lighting’s impacts on the environment. All 3000K models are DarkSky and DLC LUNA certified.

The A22 series offers universal adjustable pole mounts as standard, with slipfitter and wall mount accessories available for added versatility. Customers can choose from three finishes: bronze, white, and black. These lights are UL listed for wet locations and carry an IP66 rating, ensuring protection against dust and water.

Lastly, the A22 Field Adjustable Area Lights come with a 5-year limited warranty, providing peace of mind and reliable performance for outdoor lighting needs.

RAB Lighting Introduces ORB Downlights to Deliver Borderless Illumination for Modern Spaces

RAB Lighting introduces ORB Downlights, a groundbreaking innovation in lighting design. Unlike conventional downlights that focus light downward, the ORB spreads light both down and outward in a 180° pattern, offering a softer, more even illumination. Ideal for new builds, remodels, or retrofits, it simplifies installation with its IC rating and eliminates the need for additional housing. Available in 4” and 6” models, the ORB is ideal for retrofitting, remodeling, or new construction projects. Its IC rating ensures safe installation with direct insulation contact, without needing a housing or j-box, simplifying the process. The torsion spring installation system makes it quick and easy to install, requiring minimal effort.

One of the standout features of the ORB Downlights is its flexibility. With five selectable color temperatures, ranging from warm to cool white (2700K to 5000K), these downlights can adapt to different moods or environments. Their 90 CRI rating ensures excellent color accuracy, making them perfect for applications where true-to-life color rendering is essential, such as in kitchens, offices, and retail spaces. Additionally, the ORB’s dimming capabilities allow for precise control, as it supports TRIAC/ELV dimming down to 10%, giving you control over brightness and ambiance.

Durability is another key aspect of the ORB Downlights. Built for 120V operation, the ORB comes with a long-lasting LED lifespan of 50,000 hours, reducing the need for frequent maintenance and replacement. This ensures that the downlights not only perform well but also offer a cost-effective solution over time. The clean, trimless design of the ORB fits seamlessly into any ceiling, providing an elegant and minimalist look that complements a variety of architectural styles.

The ORB Downlights are designed with versatility in mind, making them an excellent choice for both commercial and residential applications. Their high-performance lighting and easy-to-install features ensure they stand out as a top-tier solution for modern lighting needs. Whether you’re illuminating large spaces or creating focused, ambient lighting, the ORB Downlights provide both style and substance in any setting.
