RED Horticulture has announced its entry into the North American market with the launch of RED Horticulture Inc. and the appointment of Dr. Abhay Thosar as Business Developer. Dr. Thosar brings decades of expertise in horticultural crops, including high-wire plants, ornamental plants, leafy greens, and soft fruits.
According to the company, Dr. Thosar has extensive experience working with greenhouses, growth chambers, and vertical farms. "His deep knowledge of greenhouse management, vertical farming, crop management, and Controlled Environment Agriculture across a wide range of crops makes him a perfect fit for this role."
Dr. Thosar is particularly excited about RED's Smart Dimming technology, which he believes will give North American growers a competitive edge, especially in markets challenged by imported competition. "Innovation, meeting growers' needs, and promoting sustainability are key reasons I joined RED. I’m passionate about optimizing plant responses through lighting, and RED’s technology provides tremendous flexibility for growers across various crops and applications," he said.
Dr. Thosar will also be representing RED at numerous North American trade shows, beginning with the Canadian Greenhouse Conference on October 9 and 10, offering growers and industry professionals a chance to meet him and learn how RED’s solutions can improve their operations.
