IOTA Engineering, an Acuity Brands company, is a pioneer and leader in the lighting industry, designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art emergency lighting equipment for commercial, institutional, national and international applications. Additionally, IOTA's product line has expanded to include AC/DC power conversion and battery charging equipment used in vehicular, recreational, solar, industrial, and telecommunication markets.

IOTA designs and manufactures emergency LED drivers, emergency ballasts, emergency AC inverters, emergency control devices, Canadian Life Safety Products, and DLS power converters & battery chargers. From the circuit board design to the completed unit, IOTA designs and develops products that maintain superior performance, and is dedicated to providing the highest levels in customer satisfaction, quality and innovation in the industry.

IOTA has worked continuously in the electronic R & D field, designing and manufacturing innovative products for the lighting and electronics industries since 1968. IOTA was the first to bring UL Classified LED emergency drivers to the industry, enabling specifiers and distributors the capability to offer integral LED emergency solutions for field and retrofit projects. IOTA's fluorescent products such as the slim design ISL Series, the 2000 lumen I-880, and I-232 Parallel Operation emergency battery packs introduced revolutionary solutions for modern fixture designs.Time Delay, Open Circuit Isolation and AC Output enhancements delivered products that met the demands of new ballast and lamp technologies. These and other innovative offerings represent IOTA's mission to provide the best in reliable, adaptable product design.

IOTA's initial focus was on the design and manufacture of low voltage solid state ballasts for fluorescent applications. The IOTA DC ballast design gained national recognition when it was selected in a national competition by NASA for use aboard SKYLAB. The system performed flawlessly through all missions.

Simply designing a state-of-the-art product is only one step in the process. To maintain a superior level of performance and assure customer satisfaction, IOTA implements an extensive Quality Control program that evaluates quality throughout the manufacturing process - from incoming supplies to works-in-progress to completed units. The use of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) provides an additional level of quality assurance by augmenting the testing process and allowing for the accumulation of extremely accurate test data. Resulting ATE test data is analyzed for acceptability and kept on file for future comparison and reference.
