Lumen Center Italia Srl started in 1976 in the Provencal city of La-Fare-les-Oliviers, under the artistic direction of Gilles Derain. Derain was a prominent exponent of the UAM - Union des Artistes Modernes, an artistic movement active from 1928 to 1958, which later merged into International Modernism.
Our know-how at Lumen Center in lighting draws from age-old traditions. At the same time, we are constantly observing the present and looking toward the future by combining the most effective and avant-garde technology to a fresh, contemporary style, giving voice to the brilliant intuitions of our designers.

Our LC collection is the most distinctive essence of Lumen Center. Our roots are sunk deep in 20th-century France, where an iconic design tradition combines with craftsmanship and refined materials. From re-editions of iconic lamps from the 1920s - 1980s from renowned figures of international design to new and surprising lines whose style and inspiration fit admirably within the history of design, the LC collection includes creations that speak a universal, timeless language.
