The Research and Development department of Novea Energies has always been committed to technological innovation around solar energy management, in order to offer its customers the most innovative and the most successful solar lampposts on the market.

Established at the heart of an innovative ecosystem in the Angers region, near to the Cité des Objets Connectés (city of connected objects), we have formed industrial and scientific partnerships at the cutting edge of new technologies.

Our close partnership with french laboratories CEA and INES since 2011 has allowed us to design the most efficient and sustainable batteries in the solar lighting market, but also to be always on the lookout for the latest technological advances in the field.

In 2015, Novea Energies decided to combine our forces with those of Ragni, French manufacturer of public lighting equipment, whose know-how in the designing and production of luminaires is recognised in France and elsewhere. Thanks to that alliance, we are able to use solar energy to power reliable luminaires so that you can benefit from a double expertise.

The Ragni Group currently possesses 3 manufacturing sites in France, 4 subsidiaries, an experienced sales network covering the whole of France and 30 distributors worldwide.

Energy-efficient street lighting is dedicated to sites with no electrical infrastructure, but is also suitable for projects that want to focus on renewable energies and energy savings.

Technological advancements in the performance of LEDs, solar panels and batteries enable off grid solar lighting to meet almost all applications in public lighting.

Furthermore, the objective today is to try to limit as much as possible the consumption of fossil and polluting energies, and to study the means allowing to compensate by renewable way the electrical energy which we consume. This approach, combined with energy management, will ultimately limit environmental impacts.

Since its creation, Novea designs all of its components. The complete control of the system allows Novea to offer products with the highest reliability and the longest life of the market. The proof ! Six years of Research and Development with the Grenoble CEA have led to the development of the battery technology best suited to the solar lighting market.

Endurance + technology, developed by Novea, thanks to its Lithium LiFePO4 cells and its unique management of energy flows, offers the longest life of the market. LiFePO4 batteries have been scientifically recognized as the most efficient and best suited to the solar streetlights with battery.

Six years of R & D (in partnership with CEA Grenoble) and industrialization have led to the development of this unique battery. Lithium Iron Phosphate was selected in comparison with other Lithium ion technologies but also with respect to NiMh and lead for its lifetime, resistance to high temperatures and energy efficiency. The Lithium cell selected by Novéa underwent, in the laboratory, early aging tests under extreme temperature conditions (+45 ° C continuously) in order to validate its longevity.

Novéa Énergies has always integrated the presence detection function into its solar lighting solutions in order to optimize the dimensioning of the components and their lifetime. Different management systems can be combined. With the NOVMOOV module, Novea offers a wireless communicating solution that allows one or more groups of lampposts to be switched on simultaneously in full power.
