Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting provides backup illumination and guidance to people during critical times when they need to be evacuated quickly and safely from a building. Emergency egress lights must illuminate the exit access (the interior pathway), the exit (the exit doorway), and the exit discharge (the area immediately outside the building). Exit signs provided at all egress routes must be illuminated to assist progression towards the route of escape to a point of safety.
