PoEWit Technologies Inc. was founded by custom electronic space veterans with over 40 years of combined experience in the CEDIA space. PoEWit’s founders’ previous company was Pakedge Device and Software, through which they started the Networking Product category in the CEDIA channel. Today, the networking product category is one of the top revenue categories for most CEDIA members.
PoEWit’s mission is to revolutionize the industry by changing how high voltage products are powered and networked by using Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE). We listen to our dealers and provide technology and solutions uniquely designed to grow their business.
PoEWit’s PoE Powered LED lights address these security camera limitations. They can be easily installation near them to complement their functionality. The PassThrough version can also supply PoE power to the cameras nearby. One problem with traditional home security lights is they have literally no programmable intelligence. PoEWit is introducing a new generation of home security and safety lighting solutions that use PoE to power and control LED lighting. These new devices are smart, cloud-based, easily configurable, and much more functional than dangerous, high voltage products.
In emergencies, there is no guarantee that they are charged or working. In some cases, security professionals will deploy commercial emergency lighting in homes. But these devices are eyesores that detract from a home’s ambiance and, ultimately, its value. PoEWit offers an alternative: its smart, modern, intelligent lights deliver many benefits. PoEWit products become permanent infrastructure fixtures in the walls and add value to a home. They are simple to install and quite flexible in customization. These products are not limited to outlet locations and are easier and safer to install than high voltage, Romex cabling systems.
PoEWit’s lighting system delivers a wide range of software capabilities but is simple to operate. Each mode is user-configurable via a smart-phone app. Since the solution is monitored by the cloud, it understands what is occurring and adjusts accordingly. In the event of an Internet connection disruption, the system will even failover to local mode so no internet connection is needed.
