Edge2Cloud (E2C) is a collection of software applications that can run within Robustel’s “RobustOS” operating system to provide IoT Gateway functionality at both a hardware and software level. For many years, Robustel have been writing custom applications to help connect legacy industrial protocols (eg Modbus) and equipment to application servers in the cloud and E2C is a ‘root and branch’ attempt to formalize that capability saving customers time and cost when developing new applications.

RobustOS is Robustel’s proprietary device operating system. Built from the ground up around a Linux Kernel, RobustOS allows for lightweight firmware and application delivery across the Robustel product range. RobustOS allows users to update device functionality through lightweight apps while leaving the firmware untouched.
