UL/cUL Listed
The UL Listed mark means products carrying the mark have been tested and evaluated by the Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL), and UL determines the products comply with UL's requirements with regards to specific risk, e.g., casualty, fire, etc., performance under specific conditions, compliance with regulatory codes and specified standards, or any other conditions as determined by UL. ETL/cETL
Intertek's ETL Listed Mark demonstrates compliance to the requirements of widely accepted product safety standards, as determined through independent testing and periodic follow-up inspections by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). Inspectors, code officials and Authorities Having Jurisdiction recognize and accept the ETL Mark as proof of product compliance throughout North America as well as other parts of the world. CSA
The CSA mark demonstrates that a product has been rigorously tested to applicable standards. These include standards written or administered by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), CSA Group (CSA), NSF International (NSF), and other North American and global organizations. The CSA marking scheme is operated by the Canadian Standards Association.
FCC
The FCC label or the FCC mark is a certification mark employed on electronic products that enter the commercial market of the United States. The FCC mark certifies that the electromagnetic interference from devices employing clocks or oscillators and operating at a frequency of greater than 9 kHz is under limits approved by the Federal Communications Commission.
DLC Listed
The DLC Qualified Product List (QPL) logo indicates that commercial LED/SSL products carrying this logo have been tested at a DLC (Designlights Consortium®) approved laboratory that comply with the specified performance and energy efficiency criteria. These products will be eligible for rebate participation in regional, state, utility, and energy efficiency programs throughout the United States and Canada.DLC Premium
DLC Premium is a higher-performance classification for luminaires and retrofit kits. Products submitted to the DLC Premium classification must meet higher efficacy and lumen maintenance requirements. The DLC QPL Premium Logo may ONLY be used to refer to those specific products that are qualified and listed on the Qualified Products List and meet the technical requirements of the Premium Classification. The DLC QPL Premium Logo is not applicable to lighting controls systems or horticultural luminaires, and may only be used on qualified DLC Premium qualified products.DLC Hort QPL
Logo for the DLC Horticultural Lighting QPL. DLC intends to list Horticultural Lighting products based on output (high- or low-output) and intended use (supplemental or sole-source lighting). To be included on the DLC’s new Horticultural QPL, an LED fixture must be at least 10 percent more energy efficient than the next-best alternative, a 1,000-watt high-pressure sodium light.
ENERGY STAR
A joint program of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE). The ENERGY STAR products program sets specifications, testing procedures, and verification testing requirements for various consumer appliances, electronics, residential lighting products, and commercial equipment. Product which meets the minimum performance requirements for energy efficiency can have the blue star logo carried.
Title 24
Title 24 is California's energy code designed to reduce wasteful and unnecessary energy consumption in newly constructed and existing buildings. The California Energy Commission updates the Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Title 24, Parts 6 and 11) every three years. All fixtures installed in residential construction are required to be “high efficacy” as defined by Title 24. Failure to comply and certify will result in products that cannot be legally installed in California.
CE
The CE mark indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products marketed and distributed in the European Economic Area (EEA) region. CE Marking on a product is a manufacturer’s declaration that a product complies with all the requirements from all the applicable directives and has undergone the relevant conformity assessment procedure. CE is an abbreviation of "Conformité Européenne" (French for "European Conformity").
CB
The CB Scheme, established the by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), is an international system for the mutual recognition and acceptance of test results and certificates dealing with the safety of electrical and electronic components, operating equipment and products. The IECEE CB scheme offers manufacturers a simpler way to obtain country-specific certificates around the world by accrediting the participating National Certification Bodies (NCBs) and their associated testing laboratories (CBTLs) to conduct complete testing and evaluation of the manufacturer's product with internationally harmonized product safety Standards and issue CB certificates and test reports.
ENEC
The ENEC mark is complementary to the mandatory CE marking on the electrical products placed on the European market. Since the CE marking does not indicate that electrical products have been approved as safe by the European Union or by another authority, the ENEC mark is adopted a proof that products complies with applicable EN safety standard and performance testing requirement. Being granted by a 3rd party, independent from the manufacturer or importer, the ENEC mark always signifies that the product is safe in accordance with the appropriate European directive (for example: LVD, MD).
GS
The Geprüfte Sicherheit ("Safety Tested") or GS mark is a voluntary certification mark that indicates the conformity of a product to the minimum requirements of the German Product Safety Act (a.k.a. ProdSG). The GS certification requires more stringent testing, to a level that exceeds the basic requirements for CE marking.
VDE
The VDE mark indicates a product's compliance with the VDE standards, European or internationally harmonized standards. The VDE Testing and Certification Institute is another German-based independent testing organization for electro-technical products including products according to the Product Safety Act (ProdSG) and medical products according to the Medical Product Act (MPG).

EAC
The Eurasian Conformity (EAC) mark is used to indicate products that meet all of the technical requirements of the Eurasian Customs Union, formerly Customs Union (CU). The single territory of the EAEU market is comprised of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. The EAC mark was introduced in 2013 to replace the previous GOST-R and PCT national certification standards and marks.
BEAB
The BEAB approved mark is an accreditation of that a product's safety. The BEAB Approved Mark is a widely recognized across the UK and Europe and is used to support CE Marking and demonstrate conformity with the Low Voltage Directive (LVD). BEAB approval can be used as a basis for obtaining other national and international certification marks under the CB Scheme and ENEC scheme.
Nemko
The N mark is the certification mark owned and operated by Norway Nemko, an organization similar to TUV or UL that offers product safety testing and certification to worldwide standards. The mark itself was established in 1933 as a mandatory mark for electrical products marketed in Norway. It has gained worldwide recognition as a sign of compliance with relevant safety and EMC standards.
CCC
The China Compulsory Certificate mark, commonly known as a CCC or 3C Mark, is a compulsory safety mark administered by the CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China). The CCC marking is required for a variety of products imported, sold or used in the Chinese market. The China Quality Certification Center (CQC) is designated by CNCA to process CCC mark applications and defines the products that need CCC.
PSE
The PSE Mark is used to indicate a product's compliance with Japan's Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (DENAN). DENAN was established by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to regulate the safety of electronic and electrical products.
KC
The KC (Korea Certification) mark indicates compliance with Korea’s product safety requirements for electrical and electronic products. The KC safety certification is a mandatory certification scheme that is designed to verify safety as well as Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radio Frequency (RF) requirements.
RCM
The Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM Mark) is used to indicate compliance with applicable ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) standards and requirements. The new RCM is a single compliance mark that consolidates the previously separate C-Tick, A-Tick and RCM marks. The mark covers electrical safety and/or EMC. By combining compliance requirements for telecoms equipment and EME/EMC testing, the RCM Mark provides a single, integrated approach to certification for electrical products and wireless devices in Australia and New Zealand.
BIS
The BIS certification scheme has been introduced by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as a means for providing third party guarantee of quality, safety and reliability of products to the customer. The BIS marking is a certification mark that indicates conformity with applicable standards for products sold within India.

Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) and SIRIM
Certification mark indicates a product has been tested certified by SIRIM QAS International as meeting a minimum set of regulatory, technical and safety requirements established by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST). ST is a statutory body responsible for regulating the energy sector in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah.
INMETRO
Many products entering the Brazilian territory must carry the mandatory INMETRO mark along with the mark of the certification organization. These products include automotive components, electrical appliances, electrical equipment under Health Surveillance Scheme, LED lamps, medical devices and IVD equipment. The mark may also be used on a voluntary basis to indicate safety standards compliance as stipulated by INMETRO.
NOM
The NOM Mark identifies compliance with Official Mexican Standards, or Normas Oficiales Mexicanas (NOMs) for household electrical appliances, IT, AV and similar equipment. Under the NOM certification scheme, electrical and electronic products sold or distributed in Mexico must comply (as applicable) with relevant regulations for safety, energy efficiency / sustainable energy, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), etc.
S Mark
The S Mark indicates compliance with applicable safety standards which are mandatory in Argentina under the auspices of its standards body IRAM. The mandatory marking applies to electric and electronic products that operate between 50-1000 Vac, or 50-1500Vdc, and up to 63A and 5 kVA.
TISI
The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) regulates the certification scheme for products entering the Thailand market. The Government of Thailand requires a compulsory certification of products in various sectors including: agriculture, civil and construction materials, consumer goods, electrical appliances and accessories, PVC pipe, medical, LPG gas containers, surface coatings, chemical, mechanical engineering and vehicles.Similar threads
