Our family founded DOUA Design Group on one simple idea: the innovative combination of modern and vintage design aesthetics. Our team has diverse backgrounds in art, design, and business that collectively contribute to DOUA's vision. We are committed to exceptional quality, the needs of our customers, and the creation of beautiful works of art.
As co-owner and head designer, Paul Gelinas brings over 30 years of premier experience in the furniture and lighting industry. Paul has an exceptional background in both the retail and hospitality sectors, working with clients such as Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, One Kings Lane, SOHO House, Graduate Hotels, and Hyatt Hotels. Paul has collaborated with the world’s leading designers. Paul’s passion, artistry, and experience allow him to translate his client’s creative vision into reality. Karen brings her unique background in Art History (Masters) and Asian Studies (PhD) to her role as an owner and designer at DOUA Design Group. Miles, the son of Karen and Paul, has years of experience in design and business consulting.
As a domestic lamp designing company and manufacturer, we take pride in the superior quality and cost control of our manufacturing process. The majority of our suppliers are located within 30 miles of our factory, which allows us to monitor their production, ensuring our customers’ needs are met. We exceed Southern California-state regulations enabling us to say we are among the most “Eco-Friendly” manufacturers in our industry. We also have the ability and experience to import product when required.
Our goal is to be your best resource; responsive and reliable. We have an excellent on-time shipping record and are proactive in keeping our customers informed of their order status. Repeat customers’ attest to our top-quality value and performance.
In addition to our extensive catalog, we offer custom hotel lighting. Our capabilities to customize vary from modifying our existing items with new specifications to creating entirely new designed lamps. Our custom services include the ability to create unique finishes to match desired color palettes, case goods and fabrics. Our lamps and fixtures are installed in many of the leading hotels, including such prestigious properties as Bellagio, Atlantis-Nassau, Fontainebleau, and Wynn Las Vegas.
