Clivedale London, the renowned super-prime developer, is proud to announce its collaboration with esteemed lighting design house, Gabriel Scott, in their latest prestigious project, The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Mayfair, London.

This luxurious development, situated on the historic Hanover Square, represents the pinnacle of sophisticated living in one of the capital's most coveted locations.

The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Mayfair, London is an architectural marvel, designed by the internationally acclaimed Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP). The north and south towers are interconnected by a striking glass core, blending historical inspiration with a forward-looking vision. Complementing this architectural prowess, the interiors crafted by Thomas Juul-Hansen feature bespoke fittings, including Gabriel Scott’s exquisite lighting fixtures from the Luna and Luna Kaleido series.

Steven Blaess, Head of Interior Design at Clivedale, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: "Gabriel Scott's Luna series adds an unexpected touch of elegance and charm to our residences. Their innovative approach to lighting design, which seamlessly integrates with our commitment to luxury and sophistication, creates a truly unique living experience for our residents. The diffused, ambient glow from the Luna series perfectly complements the natural light and architectural features of our spaces."

Renowned for its bold, geometric designs, Gabriel Scott’s Luna series draws inspiration from the delicate art of jewelry making. Scott Richler, Founder and CEO of Gabriel Scott, shared insights into the creative process: "Much of Gabriel Scott’s lighting draws influence from the world of jewelry design. With the Luna series, sleek tube lights intersect with brushed metal, adorned with plump Murano-type 'beads' in an array of candy colors. The primary challenge was seamlessly integrating these beads while preserving the architectural integrity of each piece. This innovative approach allows for endless customization possibilities, providing a soft, ambient glow that transforms any space."

The Luna Kaleido collection, an extension of the Luna series, introduces customizable modular lighting fixtures. Available in six shapes named after constellations, the collection features mouth-blown glass beads arranged to create unique, luminous designs. Richler elaborated, "The collection draws inspiration from the kaleidoscope, providing endless variations in tone, shape, and light refraction. This mesmerizing new addition expands our best-selling Luna series and is available in a variety of finishes and glass options to suit any interior design."

The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Mayfair, London offer unparalleled luxury, with residents enjoying access to the full suite of hotel amenities and services, including in-residence dining, housekeeping, 24/7 concierge, valet parking, and an opulent spa. Making Moves: Gabriel Scott Relocating London Showroom
Canadian luxury handmade furniture and lighting brand Gabriel Scott unveils a new lighting collection, the Welles Reimagined series, a collaboration with David Rockwell.

Commemorating Gabriel Scott’s iconic Welles chandelier, the David Rockwell capsule lighting collection pays homage to the classic geometric form of the Welles Chandelier while infusing it with a contemporary twist inspired by natural clusters such as crystals, chemical compounds, and clouds.

Drawing from botanical shapes, Rockwell crafted an organic amalgamation where hollowed glass polygons serve as luminous metallic focal points, gathering at various heights and dimensions to form mesmerizing suspended clusters. Defined by its opulent volume and organic allure, this flagship chandelier epitomizes luxury.

The collection debuts with a stunning array of glass finishes, including Smoked, Purple, Alabaster White, Bronze, and Clear. This diverse selection allows for flexible mixing and matching of finishes to suit individual preferences, greatly enhancing customization options for discerning clientele. These new glass finishes are seamlessly integrated across the entire Welles Reimagined by David Rockwell lighting series, which includes chandeliers, pendants, and sconces.
