At GDS Lighting S.r.l, we explore and develop solutions and products that put adaptability of the vision at the heart of public and industrial applications. Advanced connectivity systems then regulate the use and characteristics of lighting according to conditions of the context.

GDS Lighting arose from a focus on innovation by GDS, an Italian industrial company that has been designing and producing high value-added electronic systems for over 40 years. With offices on all continents, GDS employs over 1,000 employees, producing an annual turnover greater than 150 million dollars and investing over 10 million in Research & Development per year.

At GDS Lighting, we design, develop and implement LED lighting solutions for industrial and urban spaces. Entirely in-house.

We were born in Italy and have grown all around the world, bringing our transversal expertise to the fields of optics, electronics, telecommunications and LED technology. This perspective allows us to transcend the boundaries of individual products and be a single point of contact, able to identify integrated solutions and apply them to various geographical contexts.

For the public sector, GDS Lighting offers lighting solutions for piazzas, city centres, green areas, public parks and gardens, pedestrian zones as well as LED lighting for urban and suburban streets.

In addition to the functional aspects relative to luminaire performance, our products guarantee an aesthetic quality consistent with the context, ergo lighting that blends in with the landscape and architecture, limiting light pollution and light intrusion into adjacent areas.

GDS Lighting is dedicated to the lighting of all industrial areas – both indoors and outdoors – such as for industrial sheds, commercial warehouses, logistics areas, port infrastructure and sports facilities. The Industry context requires lighting that is functional to the operations of each sector, which is why our solutions provide visual comfort for entrance and reception areas and offices, safety and concentration for production areas, efficiency for warehouses and storage spaces, as well as security and sturdiness for outdoor areas, car parks and transit areas.

The solutions developed by GDS Lighting are robust, durable and able to guarantee the correct lighting even in contexts with specific requirements and conditions (such as refrigerated industrial environments or those reaching high temperatures).

Urban lighting is already traditionally configured as a systemic network of luminaires distributed throughout the territory. In Smart Cities, such devices become network nodes, capable of collating data and exchanging information with other nodes, with the network operator and also with users. This facilitates the precise monitoring and tailor-made management of urban lighting, which can be automatically adjusted, for example, according to the volume of vehicular or pedestrian traffic, the presence of people on crossings and weather conditions.
