Area and Site Lighting

Area and site lighting systems are designed to illuminate specific geometric zones and contain illumination within the targeted area. They work to deliver uniform illumination while offering control of undesirable light in parking lots, sports fields, cargo terminals, airports, marinas, amusement parks, freeway interchanges, industrial sites, and outdoor retail establishments (car dealerships, automobile service stations). Area lighting installations are usually fixed and may be implemented as high mast lighting systems, pole- or wall-mounted floodlighting systems, shoebox-style area lights, etc. They may also be temporary lighting systems such as mobile light towers (light plants), balloon-type lighting systems, and lighting strings.
