A world-renowned brand for over 50 years, Ingo Maurer GmbH offers a diverse range of decorative luminaires, breath-taking unique pieces and inspiring one-off lighting installations. Ingo Maurer GmbH has been influencing the history of lighting design since 1966, when the company’s founder and namesake designed Bulb, a table lamp which soon became part of the MoMA collection.
Poetry, Humour & Technology: the company surprises with new ideas, unusual approaches and materials, and new technology. Ingo Maurer GmbH stands for pushing the limits of design and quality, and the creation of unique and individual objects, which promise emotion and deliver surprise. As designer and manufacturer, Ingo Maurer GmbH has the privilege of a “no-compromise policy”, which has allowed the company to develop, over the years, a large variety of beautiful unconventional lighting objects.
All the products are designed and manufactured in Munich, Germany. Most of our luminaires are fully handmade using original artisanal processes.
In addition to the lighting designers, the Project Department of Ingo Maurer GmbH offers a full service of project planning including light design, interior design and architecture. Ingo Maurer GmbH offers products and light options for many different applications in various sectors to include Hospitality, Residential, Retail, Public Sector (e.g. theatres and train stations) and more. Thanks to its own manufacture and (architectural model) production, Ingo Maurer GmbH is able to act quickly in developing and modifying projects, hand in hand with lighting designers, developers and (interior) architects as well as customers plus as project partners.
