Ceiling lights to illuminate any space
The Philips Hue Datura ceiling light is now also available in both square and rectangle shapes in addition to the round range that was launched earlier this year. These new shapes feature a frameless profile to enhance the sense of space anywhere in your home, especially rooms with low ceilings. This panel has two color-capable and individually controllable lights, meaning you get a powerful functional light for full-room illumination as well as a light that shines upward onto the ceiling for a decorative touch.
Following the launch of the round shape earlier this year, the Philips Hue Tento ceiling panel is now available in two new square shapes to light up any area of your home. With its sleek design in black or white, it blends seamlessly into its surroundings and is easy to install in large closets, garages, and more. The 30 cm panel offers white, warm-to-cool white and color light, while the 40 cm panel offers warm-to-cool white and color light.
Personalize smart lighting in the Philips Hue app
Philips Hue is extending the collection of Effects in the Hue app with four brand-new Effects: Cosmos, Underwater, Enchant, and Sunbeam. To get an even richer experience, you can now also personalize any Effects — both existing and new ones — by changing their intensity (i.e., brightness and speed) and base color for any occasion.
For users with larger setups, Philips Hue will be upgrading the Hue app to support the integration of multiple Bridges later this year. Users will be able to add multiple Bridges to a single home, view the status of all their rooms in a single view, and control them without needing to switch between Bridges.
Furthermore, Philips Hue accessories are getting even smarter. New features include the much requested Do not Disturb, which prevents motion sensors to change the active scene when motion is detected, as well as starting and stopping of mimic presence and timers via Hue switches.
App features to further secure your home
In addition to continuous innovations in lights and features, Philips Hue is also launching several app updates and improvements for its integrated security system. New features will become available later this year in both Europe and North America.
- Philips Hue Secure cameras will work with Alexa and Google Home, letting you use voice control and display the live streams from your cameras on compatible devices, like Echo Show, Fire TV and the Google Nest Hub, as well as in the Alexa app and Google Home app.
- Philips Hue Secure users can now set helpful routines for arming and disarming the Secure system according to their daily schedule, ensuring that their system is always armed when they need it to be.
- The new Battery Saver option for Battery Cameras enables you to manage your camera battery life for extra hours of use.

The AR feature is supported by iOS Pro devices and will become available Fall 2024 in both Europe and North America.

Finally, Philips Hue is publishing the results of a study based on data collected from over 1 million Philips Hue light bulbs in Europe, which demonstrates the energy-saving impact of connected lighting in real-world usage. The study shows a mean total energy impact of 28-37% savings versus an equivalent non-connected bulb. Read the full whitepaper here.
Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, announces the launch of brand-new Philips Hue lights and app features that provide additional ways to expand and personalize the lighting in your home. Philips Hue Twilight, the brand’s newest innovation, was designed to support your circadian rhythm. After the launch of the Lightguide Ellipse bulb, the Philips Hue Lightguide selection is completed with four more shapes — small globe, large globe, Edison, and triangle — which can be seamlessly combined with matching table lamp bases. Also launching is the Philips Hue Solo lightstrip, which enables you to add light anywhere in your home, and Philips Hue Datura, a dual light source ceiling panel.
Wake up feeling more recharged
Philips Hue Twilight sleep and wake up light, available in both white and black, was designed to support your circadian rhythm: it helps you maintain a regular sleep routine, fall asleep peacefully, and wake up feeling more recharged. With two individually controllable light sources — an illumination head and a back light featuring one-of-a-kind ColorCast technology — Philips Hue Twilight mimics the wide palette of colors in both morning and evening sky light.
The compact design fits easily onto a bedside table and features two customizable buttons to control the light, in addition to the Philips Hue app. By default, one button cycles through six new light scenes, like ‘Arise’ or ‘Sleepy’. The other triggers the new Sunset Go to sleep automation, simulating a sunset with a rich blend of red tones.
Additionally, set a wake up automation, which gradually brightens so you gently awaken to the colors of the morning sun. Ultra-low dimming enables smooth transitions for an effective wake-up and the perfect nightlight. Philips Hue Twilight dims to an industry leading 0.5% brightness1.
An eye-catcher that complements your modern home decor
Following the launch of the popular Ellipse shape, the four new Philips Hue Lightguide bulbs allow you to create a unique lighting experience. Users can now choose from five premium shapes of handblown glass bulbs: small globe, large globe, triangle, Edison and Ellipse. Their striking and contemporary design offers eye-catching modern style along with all the smart functionalities of Philips Hue. These bulbs offer millions of shades of white and color light, so that you can personalize and design colorful light scenes, and are controllable with the Philips Hue app.
Lightguide bulbs can be combined with the Philips Hue 3D-printed table lamp base. Users can place the duo on side or coffee tables as a striking decorative piece to enrich their home décor. The lamp, which is 3D printed using bio-circular materials2, is available in sage, sand, and glossy black.
Flexibly add light in hard-to-reach spaces
Shape and bend lighting to your needs with the Philips Hue Solo lightstrip. Easy to use and accessible for any user, it offers the flexibility to add light in even hard-to-reach places. With cuttable 3m, 5m and 10m versions, it subtly fits into any area, such as in closets, on ceilings or walls, and along stairs and floors, to upgrade any space. Illuminated by 1700 lumens of stunning light output, the lightstrip brightens your home with pure color and pure white light (thanks to RGBWWW LEDs). Philips Hue users can conveniently expand their smart lighting range by integrating the lightstrip with the full Philips Hue system — enabling different light experiences to fit any mood.
Ceiling lights to illuminate any space
Philips Hue Datura ceiling light with a round shape and slim frameless profile enhances the sense of space anywhere around your home, especially in rooms with low ceiling height. The ceiling panel comes with two individually controllable light sources in white and color light that create both room illumination, with a powerful functional light, and a soft ceiling glow with a single touch and customizable color effects.
Additionally, Philips Hue Tento offers white light, along with warm-to-cool white and color light to illuminate any area of your home. With its sleek round design, it looks good anywhere and is easy to install in large closets, garages, and more.
Philips Hue slim recessed lights offer the flexibility to add colorful smart light anywhere in your home. With their incredibly thin profile, they’re easy to install and fit where traditional lights can’t. This makes it possible to add color-capable recessed lights in rooms with false ceilings, such as a basement bedroom, living room, or bathroom. With up to 1150 lumens and a wide beam of light, the Philips Hue slim recessed lights are bright enough to fill your space with light and make for perfect light diffusion across large surfaces.

Philips Hue is at home, so you don’t have to be. Smart cameras, contact sensors, and the all-new Security Center in the Philips Hue app helps you feel safer, no matter where you are. Philips Hue integrates smart lighting, sensors, and cameras to help secure your home.
- Experience the integration of smart lighting and smart home security with new Philips Hue Secure cameras, sensors, and app features to help secure your home

- Enjoy the cozy atmosphere created by Philips Hue Festavia string lights, both indoors and outdoors, and update your Philips Hue lights to work with Matter via the Philips Hue Bridge
Eindhoven, the Netherlands – Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, today announces the launch of a new product category with Philips Hue Secure smart cameras, sensors, and app features to help secure your home. Philips Hue Secure allows you to monitor your home in real time, and it offers instant motion alerts and unique light and sound alarms to help deter intruders. The new Security Center in the Philips Hue app offers even more advanced features when users subscribe to a plan. Other updates include Philips Hue Festavia string lights for both indoors and outdoors, and the launch of Matter for all Philips Hue users.
Keep an eye on your home with Philips Hue Secure cameras
Philips Hue Secure cameras feature a clear 1080p HD video feed with night vision to help you monitor your home in real time and trigger instant motion notifications. You can help deter intruders by triggering the unique combination of Philips Hue lights and sound alarms, or you can activate two-way talk to tell a delivery person to leave the package or just say “Hi!” to a friendly face. Philips Hue cameras feature end-to-end encryption by default, ensuring any video clips, snapshots, and live view remain private. Specifically, the capability to recognize whether a notification is triggered by a person, a pet or a package runs on the camera itself instead of the cloud, which means end-to-end encryption is always enabled.
Suitable for both indoors and outdoors, Philips Hue Secure cameras are available in both a battery and wired version, as well as in the colors black or white. The Secure wired camera can be used with a convenient desktop stand, giving you optimal flexibility to place it around the home. Both cameras can also be placed outside with the Secure camera mount with ground spike and can be easily connected to Philips Hue's existing low-voltage outdoor system.
Specifically developed for outdoor use, the Philips Hue Secure floodlight camera brings the best of the Philips Hue system together. It allows you to keep an eye on the backyard, patio, or driveway, and — when you trigger a light alarm from the Philips Hue app — the floodlight immediately illuminates a large area in any color, such as bright white or even red.
For all Philips Hue Secure cameras, a low-voltage outdoor charging cable and anti-drop cable are available.
Get alerted when doors and windows open with contact sensors
The Philips Hue Secure contact sensor — which can be used on doors, windows, cabinets, and more and is available in the colors black or white — sends real-time notifications when the contact sensor is opened or closed. For example, you can program your front door contact sensor to turn on your hallway lights and send a notification, so you can immediately check for potential intruders. You can also use the contact sensor to simply automate your lights anywhere else in the home: for example, you can program your lights to turn on and off when you open and close a cabinet or bathroom door.
All-new Security Center in the Philips Hue app
The Philips Hue app now features the new Security Center to control your smart home security system. When you receive a notification, you can tap it to open the app. From the Take action screen, you can manually trigger an alarm that flashes your lights, sound the siren on your Secure camera, or call the local authorities or a trusted contact.
Using the Philips Hue app, you can personalize your camera settings. Create Blackout zones, which make certain areas of the video feed private, or Activity zones, which prevent areas from sending notifications — particularly useful for busy sidewalks in front of the house. Users can arm and disarm the system, set up special armed states for whether they are home or away, review a timeline of events, and more.
As the world leader in smart lighting, we know that light plays a major role when it comes to security. After previously having introduced innovations like Philips Hue motion sensors and the Mimic presence automation, we’re now extending with a full suite of solutions for home security in day-to-day life. By integrating our smart lighting system with cameras, contact sensors, and app features, we offer a unique security solution through light to help users secure their homes. And it doesn't end here, as we will continue to build and innovate to unlock the potential of lighting and security for our users.”

How to access Philips Hue Secure
Philips Hue Secure starter kits and bundles conveniently combine a variety of products to start experiencing the new Philips Hue Secure system. The Philips Hue Bridge is required for the full suite of Philips Hue Secure products and their advanced features, such as the contact sensor, floodlight camera, light and sound alarms, automations, and more.
In order to ensure privacy and security of the Philips Hue smart home security system, it’s essential for users to have a Philips Hue account. Philips Hue accounts give users immediate access to their Philips Hue system and security features (even when they are away). Accounts also allow the administrators of a Philips Hue system to control individual member permissions in the app. Administrators can restrict members to only control the lighting, to control the lighting and arm/disarm the security system, or to have full control over the lights and security system.
Additional security features, which include access to Activity zones and detecting if a person, package, animal, or vehicle triggered the alert, can be unlocked with a paid plan. The Basic plan provides access to 30 days of video history, while the Plus plan offers 60 days of video history.

Signify, the world leader in lighting, is launching new Philips Hue lights and app features that provide additional ways to personalize the lighting in your home. The Philips Hue E14 luster bulb, the brand's smallest bulb, helps you fill the tiniest corners in your home with the perfect light. Philips Hue is also bringing new and enhanced features to the Hue app to give you even more control of your lighting.
- Fill the smallest corners of your home with warm-to-cool white and colorful light with the new Philips Hue luster E14 bulb
- Keep up with the latest design trends with the expansion of Philips Hue panels
- Customize your lighting with the new brightness balancer for Entertainment areas and additional time slots for motion sensors
Eindhoven, the Netherlands – Signify (Euronext: LIGHT), the world leader in lighting, is launching new Philips Hue lights and app features that provide additional ways to personalize the lighting in your home. The Philips Hue luster bulb now also comes in warm-to-cool white and color light, and the Philips Hue panels are available in new shapes. The Philips Hue app has two new features: the brightness balancer, which equalizes individual lights' brightness in your Entertainment area, and additional time slots for motion sensors.
Illuminate every corner, big or small
The Philips Hue E14 luster bulb, the brand's smallest bulb, is now also available in millions of shades of white and color light to help you fill the tiniest corners in your home with the perfect light. About as big as a golf ball, this bulb’s size and shape fit even the smallest fixtures in your home and connects them to the comprehensive Philips Hue ecosystem.
With their new shapes, Philips Hue’s panels can fit any style and home decor. Aligned to today's interior design trends, the Philips Hue Aurelle panel is now also available in a premium black finish in all shapes: square, rectangular, or round. Its floating design creates a sense of space and fills the room with shades of warm-to-cool white light. The Philips Hue Surimu panel has expanded with the introduction of a round shape (Ø395 mm) as well as a new square shape that is half as small (300 x 300 mm) as the existing square Surimu. With a white frame, this light fixture allows you to wash any area of your home in white and color light.
Personalize lighting with new app features
Philips Hue is also bringing new and enhanced features to the Hue app to give you even more control of your lighting. The brightness balancer allows you to customize the relative brightness of individual lights in an Entertainment area, instead of controlling the lights as a group. This new feature was developed following requests from Philips Hue's users, many of whom wanted to have enhanced control of their lights while watching a movie, listening to music, or gaming. The brightness balancer improves the surround lighting experience in Entertainment areas that consist of a variety of Philips Hue lights. Using the brightness balancer, you can make lights that have higher lumens dim lower than lights with lower lumens — you get to decide which part of the room gets the spotlight when you are syncing your lights to your TV, movies, games, or music. The brightness balancer is scheduled to launch in Q3 and can be used with any Philips Hue Entertainment area.
Through an update to the Philips Hue Bridge, the functionalities of the Philips Hue motion sensors are also being enriched to help you do even more with them. Based on popular requests and feedback, the number of time slots for the motion sensors to activate the desired lighting will increase from the current two to ten. Whether you choose energizing bright light in the morning, warm light in the early evening to wind down, and dim light during the night, these additional time slots allow you to customize your lighting throughout the day based on your daily routine. Additionally, the Natural light scene can be selected as part one of these time slots, to mimic the sun throughout the day. Available through an update to the Bridge, this extended feature will work on every sensor you already own and is expected to launch in Q3.
As the world leader in smart lighting, we continuously improve and expand our Philips Hue offering with innovative lights and features. By bringing enriched options, from big to small, we support our users to control their lighting experience, personalized to their own tastes and routines.”
