Based in South-East London, Tom Kirk Lighting specialises in the design and manufacture of decorative light fittings for residential and commercial interiors.
We embrace the latest technologies and finishing techniques, whilst celebrating Britain's rich heritage of quality manufacturing and skilled workmanship.
Working with a trusted network of premium suppliers, our products are hand-assembled at our workshop, ensuring output of the highest calibre.
Tom graduated from London’s Camberwell School of Art with a First class honours degree in Silversmithing and Metalwork.
Following initial success, in 1997 Tom was awarded a much-coveted Crafts Council grant and established his first London studio in Limehouse, East London. It was here that he began designing and producing one-off and batch produced lights- experimenting with a diverse range of materials and techniques.
The attention to detail, high level of discipline and intricate manual processes demanded by silversmithing directly informed and influenced his meticulous and disciplined approach to contemporary lighting design.
His work is profiled around the world; from international design shows such as Decorex, Maison et Objet and the ICFF in New York, to publications including Designing the 21st Century and 1000 Lights by Charlotte and Peter Fiell (Taschen).
Today, the collection is designed and produced in Dulwich, South London. Reflecting over two decades of experience exploring materials and processes, Tom’s work continues to attract an increasingly global following.
